Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 1, 2025
1. Overview
Our Civic Duty is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. This information is stored in Firebase Authentication and used to personalize your experience.
Guest (anonymous) users are assigned a temporary ID. No personally identifiable information is collected for guest accounts.
Learning Progress
We store your trail progress, completed lessons, quiz responses, and earned badges in Firebase Firestore. This data is linked to your account and is used solely to personalize your learning experience and display your achievements.
Profile Information
If you choose to add optional profile information (display name, bio, location) in Account Settings, this is stored in Firestore and may be visible on your public profile.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymized usage analytics (page views, feature interactions) via Firebase Analytics to improve the Service. This data is aggregated and not used to identify individual users.
