County Executive & County Council
Home Rule Charter county — elected County Executive plus a 15-member County Council (13 district + 2 at-large), NOT a 3-member Commission. County Executive: Sara Innamorato (sworn in Jan. 2, 2024, first woman in the office). Council President: Michelle Naccarati-Chapkis (District 8) — a real, recent transition: elected president May 26, 2026 after Patrick Catena resigned the presidency May 22, 2026 amid a campaign-mailer controversy (Catena remains a council member, not president).
