- County Executive & County Council
- Home Rule Charter (effective 2022) — elected County Executive plus a 7-member County Council (one per district), not a traditional Board of Commissioners. County Executive: Christina Vogel — won the Nov. 4, 2025 general election, defeating incumbent Brenton Davis. Council: Terry M. Scutella (D1), Jim Wertz (D2), Rock Copeland (D3), Jim Winarski (D4), Chris Drexel (D5), Charlie "Samuel" Bayle (D6), Ellen Schauerman (D7). Vice Chair: Chris Drexel (elected 7-0 at the Jan. 2026 reorganization). The 2026 Council Chair was decided by a contested 4-3 vote — the winner's name could not be confirmed from a clean primary source (a secondary aggregator's spelling appears to be a transcription error), so it is left unconfirmed rather than guessed.
