County Executive & County Legislature

Constitutional charter county governed by an elected County Executive and a 9-member County Legislature (6 district + 3 at-large). Interim County Executive: Phil LeVota, selected by the Legislature to fill the remainder of Frank White Jr.'s term (sworn in October 16, 2025). LeVota was federally indicted in August 2026 for bribery, accused of trying to induce a rival candidate to drop out of the 2026 County Executive race in exchange for county jobs; he has pleaded not guilty and remains in office as of this research.
