Nevada has 16 counties plus Carson City, a consolidated city-county. Each county is governed by an elected Board of County Commissioners (from three members in rural counties to seven in Clark and Washoe) holding combined legislative and executive power, with an appointed county manager handling daily operations. The County Clerk keeps commission records and, in most counties, runs elections; the County Recorder records deeds. For a meeting, start with the commission's agenda through the county clerk.
