West Virginia doesn’t have county-by-county Local Wiki records yet. Here’s a general orientation to how local government works there, and where to look for more.
Nearly every county (54 of 55) is run by a three-member elected County Commission holding combined legislative and executive power (Jefferson County has five). Other officials — assessor, clerk, sheriff — are separately elected and run their offices independently of the commission. Contact the County Commission office for public meetings, held at the courthouse, and the county clerk for records requests.
