County Executive & County Board

County Executive form — a real, current (2026) leadership transition. County Executive: Tyler Martell, who was previously Board Chairman before running for and winning the County Executive seat in the April 2026 spring election, sworn in as Manitowoc County's first new County Executive in 20 years, succeeding long-serving Bob Ziegelbauer. County Board Chairman: Matthew Phipps (District 21), elected chairman by the board after Martell vacated the chair. Older sources naming Ziegelbauer as Executive or Martell as Chairman are now outdated.
