- County Executive & County Council
- Home Rule Charter county — elected County Executive plus a 9-member County Council (4 district + 5 at-large). County Executive: Tara Zrinski (D) — won the Nov. 4, 2025 election (~59.5%) and was sworn in Jan. 5, 2026, the county's first female County Executive, succeeding Lamont McClure (did not seek a third term; ran for Congress instead). Council President: Ken Kraft (District 1). Vice President: Jeff Warren (District 3). Other members: Kelly Keegan (District 2), Thomas Giovanni (District 4), at-large: Jason Boulette, Theresa Fadem, Lori Vargo Heffner, David Holland, Nadeem Qayyum. Democrats hold a 5-3 council majority as of Jan. 2026.
