Board of Supervisors

5-member Board of Supervisors, one per district. A real, recent transition: longtime District 2 Supervisor Samuel "Sam" Hall — previously identified in county records as Board President — died July 2, 2026, after a period of declining health. His son, Demarus Hall, was appointed to fill the District 2 seat, with a special election scheduled for November 3, 2026. The county's own official site had not yet been updated to reflect this at the time of research. Who currently holds the Board Presidency following this transition could not be independently confirmed and is not asserted here. Other members: Justin Lofton (District 1), Robert J. Accardo (District 3), Jake Gazzo (District 4), Lee Fortenberry (District 5).
