3-member Board of Commissioners: two Post commissioners (Post 1 & 2) plus a Chairman & CEO elected countywide at-large. Following the 2024 election, JaNice VanNess defeated incumbent Oz Nesbitt Sr. and took office January 2025 as Chairman & CEO, forming — independently confirmed — Rockdale's historic first all-female Board of Commissioners alongside Tuwanya Smith (Post 1) and Dr. Doreen Williams (Post 2).
