Chair, County Board: Shelby County Board, 22 members elected from 11 districts. Chairman: Tad Mayhall (Vice Chair: Teresa Boehm), installed by a 12-9 board vote after the November 2024 election. Real leadership sequence since the December 2025 directory: Chair Robert Orman and Vice Chair Mark Bennett both resigned in October 2024 over board-policy disputes; Sonny Ross served as interim chair before Mayhall's installation.
