County Board Chair & Administrative Coordinator

A genuine structural quirk — Wood County has not created a County Executive or County Administrator office. Under Wis. Stat. Section 59.19, the board instead designates an "Administrative Coordinator," and the county's own directory combines this with the elected Board Chair role in one person: Lance A. Pliml, titled "County Board Chairperson/Administrative Coordinator." A Wisconsin Attorney General opinion has flagged this dual role as legally questionable (a supervisor arguably must resign the board seat to hold the appointed coordinator position) — noted here as a real structural fact, not smoothed over.
